Public Speaking

Andrew’s story and where we started is always the anchor of any address that I give. I also speak about the power of collaboration between healthcare providers and patients, the value in anonymous medication error reporting, patient engagement and developing a mindset of safety.

My public speaking engagements have ranged from one on one media interviews to plenary participations to international keynote addresses. I have been able to communicate my messages clearly and cohesively so that the audience can connect to my story and take away important information.

As a classroom teacher, my communication skills come naturally and my ability to share my presentation is organized and interesting. I use a variety of mediums, depending on the audience and the purpose of the presentation. Education is the foundation of success and I believe that my passion for learning gives me the desire to teach pharmacy and pharmacy technician students about the importance of patient safety, collaboration and community. With that teaching, they can enter into the profession as champions of safety and deliver high quality care to their patients.

I have spoken to audiences around the country and world via video conferencing and in person.
